Lilliwaup Oysters – “Little Lillies”
At Lilliwaup Oysters, we grow Little Lillies in suspended bags above a clean rocky beach in Lilliwaup, on the shores of Hood Canal. They are spring fed and reach maturity in 6 to 9 months due to the strong tides and freshwater springs on the beach. They are pulled from the shore and delivered to the door within 12 hours, during most tides. These little fellas are young, fresh, and have a hint of a cucumber aftertaste.
The Beach
We have a unique location with a protected inlet, rocky beach shoreline, and more than a dozen cold and natural springs that keep our oysters fresh and oxygenated. An outstanding marine environment with the harmonic rhythm of swift and turbulent tide waters allow a grow out
method of maturing in only six to nine months.
